Inside Coconut’s Retrogaming and 80s Style Office

Coconut, a technology startup that enables developers to outsource video encoding in the cloud for Web, Mobile or TV projects with just a few lines of code, recently moved into a new office in Marseille, France.

“We recently moved to our new offices near Le Vieux-Port (The Old-Harbor) which is one of the most beautiful place in Marseille. Marseille is now at the core of the French tech ecosystem and startups are popping like mushrooms everyday. Our goal behind our warm and cosy design was to create an environement at the crossroad of your home and your office, where people can easily hang out and share ideas. We feature cafe and bar height tables, comfortable couches that let people informally collaborate and socialize all the day long. Our table football goes the same way: working together, but also playing together. To ensure that the Coconut kept things young and fun, we added retrogaming and arcade systems and iconic stuff like the Millenium Falcon of StarWars or the famous DMC Dolorean of Back To The Future. We also feature comics and mangas. We think creativity comes from our childhood that is why we never want to forget this time.”
