A Tour of Wearable Technology Company Offices in San Diego

A confidential wearable technology company recently hired architecture and design firm Perkins+Will, to design and build their new, regional offices located in San Diego, California.

“The regional office for this expanding Wearables Technology company is located in the heart of San Diego’s technology hub. Nestled in the region’s sprawling Southern California canyons and icon neighborhoods, the space reflects the company’s brand with the beach like atmosphere of San Diego. Primarily an engineering office, activity centers around laboratory spaces and an all hands gathering space that looks out over the rolling coastal hillsides. Design features in the reception area recall elements of the San Francisco based company’s headquarters with a local flare in material changes. Color tiled floors and beach wood flooring welcome visitors and recruits into the main gathering and interview area. A walking desk meeting room in reception reflects the company’s mission and provides a unique take on a traditional meeting space. Furniture and lighting reflect the cohesive nature of this companies culture for regional office to regional office as they expand globally”, says Perkins+Will
