A Tour of Central Working’s Coworking Space – Imperial College London

Central Working, a UK-based coworking company that creates custom-made coworking spaces, recently build a new coworking campus for London-based public research university: Imperial College London. The goal was to create a shared workspace that would bring together researchers, businesses and partners to share ideas and turn cutting edge research into benefits for society.

“As there was a strong focus on ensuring that the design fostered creativity and yet also had the capability to accommodate 300 desk positions, the brief was met by creating cellular offices with large glass partitions and oversized sliding glass door to help keep an airy, open plan feeling throughout the floor. Timber flooring was used throughout the space to create a warm homely feel where tenants feel relaxed. Base building services were also upgraded to allow for the large headcount, along with a new fresh air system,” says Area
