Techspace, a startup workspace provider designed specifically for startups, freelancers and innovative companies, recently opened a new 20,000-square-foot coworking campus located in London’s Shoreditch neighborhood.
“When approaching space design, we always put the member at the centre. Our customers are high-growth technology and innovation-focused businesses, they share workspace for the flexibility and collaboration it offers and we have built a product set to ensure these needs and wants are met. Shoreditch offers a dedicated events space, digitised branded signage throughout the building, bookable meeting rooms, keyless door entry, boutique coffee and bike storage. And if our space design still isn’t suitable, we allow member companies to customise their workspace to their needs too. The greatest success of this space has been the transformation of the basement into ten unique meeting rooms, each designed for a specific meeting type. Our members were telling us that they were having meetings all the the time, but didn’t feel relaxed, so we removed the chairs and put bean bags and sofas in place. We ended up redefining our entire meeting room design, and we now have 6 different designs available to members. Members can choose between blue-sky rooms, to lunch meetings, board meetings or interview setups; we are always looking for new ways for people to collaborate and stay productive,” says Techspace
