Nike Communications, a creative communications agency that specializes in the marketing of luxury and prestige brands, recently hired interior design agency Homepolish to design their new offices in New York City. The main goal was to create a millennial’s dream office inspired by Nancy Meyer’s movie “The Intern”.
“If there’s one thing that people remember from Nancy Meyer’s movie “The Intern,” it’s the ultra-chic office space where Anne Hathaway runs her fictitious company About the Fit. It is truly a millennial’s dream. So when it came time for Nike Communications, a NYC-based PR agency specializing in luxury brands such as Revolve, Montblanc, Moet, and Smythson, to design their new downtown Manhattan office, Nike President Nina Kaminer enlisted Homepolish to create an office just like it. To capture the look and feel, Kaminer tapped design maven Justin Huxol for Homepolish to create a fresh and inspiring 10,500 square foot office space reflective of the agency’s young creative, staff. Office highlights include an eclectic mix of traditional, midcentury modern and new contemporary pieces an open office layout free of private offices a variety of lounge areas, nooks, and break out rooms furnished with couches, benches and bar carts to foster collaboration among employees a fresh, monochromatic palette large windows that flood the space with natural light chic glass-walled conference rooms with the most advanced technologies Health and wellness also play a central role in the new office’s design and amenities as millennials increasingly prioritize their well-being.”
