Editora Gente, a book publishing company focusing on self-help, education and management book markets, recently hired interior architecture firm Studio dLux to design their new offices in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

“Due to an increase in the number of their employees, Editora Gente needed a bigger headquarter. After choosing a space at the W305 building at Vila Madalena, they hired the architecture firm Studio dLux to design the new office, accommodating all the staff, displaying their books and bringing more life to the place. At their first entrance in the place, Studio dLux found a 300 square meters all white open room with a balcony. They decided to build as little walls as possible, creating a free working space with no defined seats. Besides that, the first floor also consists of a reception, two small meetings room, a kitchen and a wood grandstand. The vivid colours chosen for the walls, ceiling and stairs create a cheerful environment. As Editora Gente needed the new office as soon as possible, the construction lasted a little more than a month. They were able to have the wood furniture made in time by using digital fabrication, in which all the parts were drawn in architecture softwares and them direct cut by a CNC Router machine”, says Studio dLux
