A Tour of WiderFunnel’s New Vancouver Office

WiderFunnel, a specialist agency focused on conversion optimization, customer research, and personalization, recently moved into a new office in Downtown Vancouver, which was designed by interior design firm MaK Interiors.

“Innovation is essential to the work done at WiderFunnel, as the team strives to develop the best possible strategies and experiments for their clients. Creative problem-solving is at the heart of WiderFunnel’s services. It leads to the moments of insight into a client’s customer behavior that create a lift in revenue. WiderFunnel calls these “profitable A-ha! moments”. To this end, on their last retreat, the team focused on how to tap into their creative potential. The open floor plan features clean, white desks, and wireless technology so that team members can change locations throughout the day. The flexible workspaces and tools facilitate out-of-the-boxthinking. Smaller rooms off the main workspace provide secluded space for confidential phone conversations, distraction-free solo work, or small group meetings. The “Huddle” rooms, named after four of WiderFunnel’s values―Integrity, Maverick, Curiosity, and Grit―each have their own personality. The Integrity room features an accent wall of framed client testimonials. The Maverick room emboldens experimentation through graphic renderings of innovators like Steve Jobs. An inspiration wall in the Curiosity room features framed portraits Chris Goward’s mentors including Pablo Picasso, Mahatma Gandhi, and others. And the Grit room features a large typographic wall decal of the value beside tall chairs and an optional standing desk. Down the hall, at the entrance to the Real Room, the wall reads, “Are you ready for a real conversation?” The glass-walled room, which also doubles as Chris’ office, is a reminder to the team to seek and share truth with courage. Off the Town Hall, the Solutions Room provides a space to work out tough problems. The inspiration for the space came from Tony Ta, WiderFunnel’s Director of Web Development, when he told Victoria that he wanted to retain the company’s focus on problem-solving. In this room, you can get comfortable on a bean bag chair, solve a
puzzle, or play a board game―all of which encourages out-of-the-box thinking. Though last to be designed, this room was far from an afterthought. It embodies the mental work that the team undertakes in solving complex issues. The main boardroom offers a formal space for meetings with clients or partners, and the doors provide the perfect backdrop for monthly presentations of A-ha! moments to the team—the culmination of everyone’s hard work”, says WiderFunnel
