Inside the New Offices of Ammper in Mexico City
Ammper, an electric company that aims to transform Mexico into a world leader in renewable energy, recently hired architecture and branding firm Savvy Studio to design their new offices in Mexico City.
“From every angle, the Ammper offices were designed by SAVVY Studio to make a statement: this space is truly like no other. A set of metallic chairs and neon signs are located right at the entrance of the office, designed to make a dazzling first impression. Further on are the offices, designed in a way that promotes an open environment where ideas can flow easily. For more privacy, meeting rooms were created with a large closing wall and corner windows, as well as certain corners throughout the office that allow for intimate callswith clients. A custom line of furniture was created for the offices, and designed to both highlight the energy of the environment while still creating a professional workspace. Each piece was designed with functionality in mind, and SAVVY Studio wanted to emphasize the modern design throughout the offices. Amongst the warm browns and sleek grays used on the couches, chairs, and carpets, pops of bright red and sunny yellow can be seen throughout the office, emphasizing the open warmth of the office atmosphere. In addition to the furniture line, Savvy Studio utilized different materials such as metal, stainless steel, and marble that would act as an example of the company’s elegant but subtle detail in the design. Other fixtures, like the floor-to-wall ceiling, is made from a beautiful terracotta-like material that serves to highlight the boldness of the space in an intriguing way. The special touch for the office of course is the touch of nature: a self-sustaining irrigation system was created for a plantplaced delicately across the windows of the main offices. The element of nature is the perfect contrast to the more sleek materials in the office. Ultimately, there is an undeniable sense throughout the office’s design that Ammper is on the cusp of innovation”, says Savvy Studio
