A Tour of Contra Promotion’s Minimalist Office in Bochum

Contra Promotion, a German-based concert, booking and artist management agency that promotes touring artists from all over the world, recently reached out to architecture and interior design firm Beilmann Architekten to build and design their new office in Bochum, Germany.

“A cube in front and beside a black cigarette-box – both are situated on a formerly rough parking space within the city of Bochum. Between both volumes a vitreous gap absorbing lift and staircases. At the top-floor of the (cigarette-) box in the rear: two glassy offices with light, sight and a spacious terrace – the managements of the CONTRA workplace. The company uses the three upper floors connected by interior staircases and single offices. Glass panels instead of walls separate but not seclude the employees from each other. Every floor has its own conference room with significant technology. Crude wooden structures create – together with plenty of light and short communication ways – a not formal but uncomplicated and easy-going vibe,” said Beilmann Architekten
