Inside G.H.Q. Moviemaker’s Modern Kiev Office

Film director Lubomir Levitsky recently reached out to architecture and interior design firm Sergey Makhno Architects to design his new office in Kiev, Ukraine.

“The minimalist space is planned in a such way to let a director-writer follow his big cine deals. He will put plans and storyboards on a huge veneer table, and spill champagne on it celebrating film premieres. He will write scripts. Lost in thoughts and in a shapeless bag chair at the same time. Copper tubes are the special customer‘s request . We hid the wiring inside and make them the main emphasis of the space. The light wood is harmoniously completed the concrete-copper composition. Wood and metal formed the basis for a small meeting room. We wanted to do a “wow” thing for the guys. So there a luminaire “Pentagon” appeared. We played on words: a lamp “Pentagon” for the headquarters. It is a usual geometric shape with the unusual belt attachment. Trio from etched metal took a central place in the room marking a working area,” said Sergey Makhno Architects
