A Tour of LinkedIn’s New Sunnyvale Office – Building 645

The world’s largest professional social network LinkedIn recently hired architecture and interior design firm RMW architecture & interiors to design their new office in Sunnyvale, California.

“Hardware and software connect us and are connected to us. The 19,152 SF workplace designed for LinkedIn’s technology testing teams embodies a macro view of tech enablers by illustrating line and form found within a mainframe. Through expansive graphics and three-dimensional rope art, the thoughtful programmed spaces intersect with angular motifs and seamless material transitions to imply a cross-section through LinkedIn’s primary conduit, the computer.

Skylights illuminate and envelope a softer experience in the central break area. Custom banquettes with woven textures mirror a binary code patterned aluminum canopy surround, harmonizing the hard and soft to infuse comfort and function,” says RMW architecture & interiors.
