Social network TikTok hired architecture firm Gensler to design their new office in Bellevue, Washington.

“TikTok USDS has opened the doors to its new 40,000 SQ FT Bellevue office—an immersive, nature-inspired space that redefines the modern workplace. What began as a standard renovation quickly transformed into a flagship destination in the company’s portfolio, designed to attract employees back to the office with a lush, sensory-rich environment that surprises and delights at every turn.

Blending the digital pulse of Seattle’s tech culture with the serene beauty of the Pacific Northwest, the office features natural wood tones, abundant greenery, and custom design elements—from a dramatic pink-glass staircase to calming wellness rooms and a back-lit reception that sets the tone for the space.

Tailored to a diverse, mostly Gen Z and Millennial workforce, the design champions both collaboration and quiet reflection. Ambient lighting, soft textures, and biophilic details create a peaceful yet vibrant atmosphere that feels more like a destination than a duty. Local artist collaborations and regionally inspired graphics add authenticity and cultural connection.
