A Tour of Adobe’s Beautiful Office in San Francisco

Adobe is a global software company known for its digital products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and many others. Although Adobe is headquartered in San Jose, California, the company also has an office in the SoMa district of San Francisco, which was designed by Valerio Dewalt Train.

“The building at 410 Townsend has become Adobe’s San Francisco Headquarters. The objective was simple. For every “seat” devoted to solitary activities, there should be one “seat” devoted to collaborative work. Adobe and their highly creative staff wanted to achieve equal parts of concentration and collaboration. Through stakeholder interviews and workplace utilization studies, the extended design team including key Adobe staff studied how people collaborate in the Adobe workplace and then designed spaces support these activities. This lead to the Adobe Toolkit, which is being rolled out world-wide as a model for the future workplace”, said Valerio Dewalt Train
