A Peek Inside Office Space in Town – Waterloo
Office Space in Town, a concept of boutique office spaces that suit companies of all sizes, recently hired interior design firm Peldon Rose to design their new office space in London’s Waterloo district, to attract the growing media and tech start-up scene in the area.
“Every now and again, our creative team gets the opportunity to let their most adventurous ideas flow and deliver a special office design project. A small jaunt around the area led us to the Mad Hatter Hotel, and the area’s history as the centre of hat-making. Thus the seed was sown and we arrived on the Alice in Wonderland theme. The six themed meeting rooms vary from stripped-back design – with Alice peering through the lit-up ceiling – to the outright wacky, like in the Mad Hatter room, where there’s distressed wallpaper, grass on the floor and ceilings and mismatched furniture. We’ve left no stone unturned with this Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland theme and it was a design heavy project. Features such as suspended teapots replaced regular lighting fixtures, printed graphics line the walls throughout the office interior and iconic figurines from Lewis Carroll’s novel bring the workspace to life. Each meeting room was created with a unique design to help energise spaces and create a positive work environment”, says Peldon Rose
