Inside Metro Eighteen’s New San Francisco Office

Service contractor Metro Eighteen hired architecture firm Alex Pettas Architecture to design their new office in San Francisco, California.

“An existing industrial building located in San Francisco was adapted to accommodate the offices of Metro Eighteen. Redefining the building to its new use, wood finishes were introduced at the interior to create warmth in contrast to the exposed concrete walls. Access to the building is provided via roll up doors on the first level leading to an open kitchen and lounge area.

The upper-level perimeter is lined with custom wood desks. A conference room anchors one end of the space while a metal-clad functional volume accommodates a bathroom and printing functions. The high ceiling and skylights provide diffuse natural light creating a comfortable place to work and meet with clients.”
