A Tour of American Eagle Outfitters’ NYC Office
Clothing brand American Eagle Outfitters hired architecture and interior design firm LGA Partners to design their new office in New York City.
The LGA Corporate Design Studio has been working with a long-time client and international clothing retailer American Eagle Outfitters on their New York City Design Center + Offices. With team members having previously designed their 330,000+ square foot International Headquarters in Pittsburgh and numerous retail stores throughout the US, the client requested our professional guidance as they expanded their NY office onto the top two floors of the historic Tiffany & Co. Building in Manhattan. Included in the design is enough space for nearly 150 team members, numerous workrooms and storage areas, showrooms, fitting rooms, and ample space for collaboration, among other things. Our design also reclaimed and refreshed the grand Tiffany Glass skylight previously covered in an older renovation.
Spanning five floors and more than 500,000 square feet, the new flagship office environment brings together New York teams for American Eagle, Aerie, OFFLINE by Aerie, Unsubscribed, and Todd Snyder under one roof. Design highlights include:
Residential-inspired design: A modern, open space with signature brand colorways and styles throughout, plus warm wood tones and leathers that echo the inviting feel of the company’s retail stores.
Spaces for every way of working: Cafés, collaborative areas, conference and training rooms, and a dedicated finish library give employees and guests options to focus, gather, or connect.
Furniture tailored to a portfolio of brands: A broad mix of ancillary pieces was specified to reflect the company’s range of brand identities and to help each setting feel distinct, comfortable, and suited to how employees use it.
The result is a flexible, welcoming headquarters that reflects American Eagle Outfitters’ values and is positioned to help the company attract and retain top talent for years to come.
